Twice a year the SE Region of the RedStar Pilots Association (RPA) meets in Waycross, GA, at the Waycross - Ware County- Airport (KAYS) to conduct formation training and enjoy some good comradery.  This was my eighth Swamp Thunder / Swamp Fest event with the RPA SE Region Swamp Thunder Squadron.  In addition to the usual Nanchang CJ-6s and Yak 52s, there were Scottish Aviation T.1 Bulldogs, Socata EB-30 Epsilons, Vans RV-6/6As, Beech T-34 Mentors and a SIAI-Marchetti SF260 (Italian Trainer) in attendance. A group of us had the distinct honor to fly a Missing Man Tribute at the funeral of one of our shipmates - Mike 'Pod' Foster.  The weekend also included Flour Bombing and Precision Landing Competitions, and our version of the Navy Carrier Aviation's Foc'sile Follies. The Squadron's Motto is "Semper Malus"
