"Fulfilling Our Promises"

In April of 2015 I had the pleasure of participating in the MCAS Beaufort, SC Airshow. One of the groups in attendance with the DAV Flight Team. The team is the DAV Aviation Outreach Program which is now in its fourteenth airshow season with Air Support LLC. The DAV Aviation Outreach Program was developed to increase public awareness of disabled veterans and to serve veterans in communities across the nation. During the show I took several pictures of the North American B-25J Mitchell bomber - Panchito. I entered the picture below into the North Charleston, SC, 2016 Art Festival. The picture took 2nd Place in the Amateur Color Category. More importantly it was purchased by a Marine Corps Disabled Veteran. The title of the picture is "Fulfilling Our Promises". The veteran who purchased this picture provided the following description of the photo:

"The DAV decal is the theme but off centered while the guns stand a silent vigil and the reflections draw you into an engine that is actual outboard."
