The Annual Warbirds Over Monroe is held on the weekend closest to Veteran's Day (11 Nov) to pay tribute to all those who have served and are serving this great nation.  The show is the last Airshow for the season on the East Coast. This year the Military Aviation Museum (MAM) flew its AD-1 Skyraider and had planned to fly its Supermarine Spitfire Mk IX, unfortunately it developed mechanical problems upon arrival.  There was Thom Richard's P-40 Warhawk "America's Dream", Scott "Scooter" Yoak in P-51D Mustang "Quick Silver", Dr. Alex Newsome in P-51D Mustang "Angel's Playmate" along with a flight of AT-6 / SNJ Texans, T-28 Trojan and Pilatus P-3.  There was even a new aerobatic demonstration team - Full Throttle Formation Team. The Berlin Airlift Foundation brought their new C-54D Skymaster.
