The Annual Warbirds Over Monroe is held on the weekend closest to Veteran's Day (11 Nov) to pay tribute to all those who have served and are serving this great nation.  The show is the last Airshow for the season on the East Coast. This year the Military Aviation Museum (MAM) flew it's Spitfire Mk IX and FG-1D Corsair.  The finale for each day was the Liberty Foundation's B-17G "Madras Maiden" with an escort of a Spitfire, Corsair, P-40 Warhawk and three P-51 Mustangs. A real site to behold. I even had the opportunity to fly in the B-17 as one of the support crew.
